EN-47971 Gen 4 & 5 Oil Pressure Gauge Preluber Adapter Tool Alt
This tool works on Generation IV & V V8 engines. If you're working on a Generation 3 engine you'll need J-42907 instead.
The oiling system on the small-block V8 engines now requires the use of a unique oil filter, and the oil pressure sending unit is not readily accessible. EN-47971 is installed in place of the spin-on oil filter, and allows existing oil pressure gauge J-21867 or J-21867-A to be attached for engine oil system diagnosis. J-45299 Engine Pre-luber can also be attached to pre-lubricate the engine prior to starting a replacement engine.
Requires a 1/8" NPT thread adapter if using a aftermarket oil pressure gauge.
